How To Get There

Getting out to the Rockaways is always a bit of an adventure and we suggest allowing extra travel time. There are many ways to get there: subway, bus, bike , taxi, private car or the scenic East River Ferry.

Subway: Take the Howard Beach A train to Rockaway Park Beach/Beach 116 St Station. The house is about a 10-minute walk from the train.

Bus: The house is near the Q22, Q53 bus lines

East River Ferry: The Rockaway Ferry picks up from Wall St Pier 11 and takes about an hour to get to the Rockaways. The ferry drops off at Beach 108 st, about a 10-minute walk to the house. The ferry can be crowded, we suggest getting to the pier about 20 minutes before departure. Ferry Schedule

Parking: The house does not offer private parking. Street parking is usually available. There is a paid parking lot at Beach 108 and Beach Channel Drive, about a 10-minute walk from the house.

What To Wear

Our suggested dress code is beach casual. Formal attire is not required. The ceremony will take place outdoors.

August weather tends to be hot, but the breezy near the water. It can get chilly in the evening. Consider bringing an extra layer to throw on when the sun goes down.

After the reception, we will continue our celebration with an evening swim on the beach one block away. Bring your suit if you want to take a dip in the ocean. You’ll be able to change at the beach house. We'll have a few extra towels and bottles of sunscreen, but please bring your own if you can.

7:30pm: Out of town family and friends are invited to join us for a pizza party at 599 Lorimer St Brooklyn, NY 11211.

Saturday

2:00 pm: Wedding Ceremony
2:30pm: Reception Lunch
6:30pm: After party on the beach for sunset

Sunday

12:00pm: Recovery beach picnic at Fort Tilden Beach. BYO snacks and beach blanket for a relaxing hang out.
